Children's Sunday School
Children and Worship (Ages PreK through Grade 1)
Each week, classroom leaders and greeters work together to create a true worship experience for our little ones. The children enjoy stories, activities, feasts and music. Watching their faith blossom is an incredibly rewarding experience!
Faith Works (Grades 2 through 6)
This is a brand-new program for First Church, and it is generating a great deal of enthusiasm. In a rotational setting, the same Bible story or theme is taught for several weeks. Children rotate to a different, hands-on learning station each Sunday, encountering the story in different ways through art, music, cooking, science, computers, drama, games and video.
Youth Worship Project (Grade 7)
This pre-confirmation class, also a new program conceived to launch in January 2007, studies the Presbyterian worship service structure and then develops a youth-oriented version of it. The end result will be a full service that the students create, with their own music selections, sermon, etc. In essence, these kids are exploring what Presbyterians do and why and then are implementing what they have learned.
Confirmation Class (Grade 8 and up)

Knitting Group
For individuals who enjoy knitting, there are two knitting groups. One group meets on Wednesday afternoons from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM. The evening group meets on Thursday from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
Chancel Choir and Praise Team
Music to the glory and praise of God is essential to the Christian life. The chancel choir, led by our church organist, Al Gunther, leads the congregation in worship most Sundays. The Praise Team is led by church members and friends who enjoy singing contemporary Christian praise songs with guitars and other instrumentation. Please call the church office for more information.
Homebound Care
The Board of Deacons and members of the church provide home care to our shut-ins. Outreach involves sending cards, flowers, Thanksgiving and Christmas packages and taking communion to individuals who are unable to attend Sunday worship.
