I rejoiced with those who said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the LORD." Psalm 122:1
Our Sunday Worship Service An integral part of our life together is Sunday Worship. Our Sunday Worship Service and Sunday School begin at 10:00 A.M. Fellowship Hour follows worship. Nursery care is provided. The church is handicap accessible.
Worship is at the center of any church, but what is worship? Is it a sermon by a dynamic minister who seems to always pick topics that are relevant to me each Sunday? Is worship Biblical passages that come alive in my daily life for the rest of the week?
Worship means something for each of us, and in many ways, our worship changes with our needs on any given Sunday or during any specific service. Worship may be a time for quiet reflection, thoughtful prayer, welcoming friendship, meaningful confession, sensitive tears, or joyous celebration. If worship for you at times means simply being alone in a sacred place, this congregation will respect your quiet presence. However, at the heart of our worship is the knowledge that you are never alone – God, Our Lord, and this congregation are always here for you.I hope you’ll come join us in worship and Christian fellowship at First Presbyterian Church of Blairstown.

Happy are those whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the LORD their God,
who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps faith for ever;
who executes justice for the oppressed;
who gives food to the hungry.
The LORD sets the prisoners free;
the LORD opens the eyes of the blind.
The LORD lifts up those who are bowed down;
the LORD loves the righteous.
The LORD watches over the strangers;
he upholds the orphan and the widow,
but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.
Psalm 146, 5-9. |
